Play all day and party all night! Celebrate the grand reopening of the Carter with a day filled with art-making activities, food trucks, new exhibitions, live music, and more. This free event will be an all-day experience from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 14. Jam out to a classic hit or discover a new favorite to get you in the music mood as we kickoff our night with local DJ ronnie heart. Fort Worth musician Abraham Alexander will keep the party going playing music from his debut self-titled EP. Then close the night out with the Austin-based group The Band of Heathens who blend country, rock, and soul to create their own brand of American music. The day begins at 10 a.m. on September 14 as the Carter opens its doors to the public for the first time since completing renovation to the galleries. Throughout the day, a variety of free creative experiences will be offered including exploring our new galleries, connecting with the Carter’s collection through hands-on activities, and special tours offered all day. There will be a wide array of local food trucks with dining and beverage options available for purchase. For information check out their website cartermuseum.org or Christine Martin at process5@aol.com.
