bible studies

Bible studies are a great way to get to know God, ourselves and our neighbors better. Scroll down the page and you will find the Bible studies that Christ the Redeemer will be offering this Fall.

In the summer, the men periodically will get together for 'Bibles and Barbecue' and the Ladies get together for a study, typically 7 weeks, with a potluck meal in someone's home.

If you are interested in joining a study please contact the church for further information

here or call at 817 386-3000.

Ladies' Fall Bible Study

LADIES FALL BIBLE STUDY RETURNS!

I hope you will all plan to join our Fall Bible Study! I would love to spend my Wednesday mornings with you for the next couple of months! Here are the details for this 8 week study, led once again by Ruth Story:

Start date: Wednesday September 18, 2019 @10:00am

End date: Wednesday November 6

Place: At the home of Laura O’Brien. Please e-mail her or the church for her address and directions.

Our study will be No Other Gods, by Kelly Minter

"Often, idols are obvious-money, power, fame. But subtler idols can sometimes take the form of sweet loved ones, Instagramable interiors, and busy seasons of ministry.

But if your heart is prioritizing any of those pursuits before God, they are taking up space meant for Him alone."

In this 8-session study, learn to identify the functional gods you are serving daily and the lies they tell. Only when you learn to dethrone modern-day idols can you pursue a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus."

Note- I believe the Lifeway store has closed on Bryant Irvin. You can order your workbook from www.Lifeway.com or Amazon. If you have any other questions, contact Laura O'Brien HERE.

Ladies' Discipleship class:

October 3rd - November 21st @9:30 am

Experiencing Discipleship Through the Spiritual Disciplines

Join a sacred journey of discipleship, through the spiritual disciplines - disciplines that help create space in the heart so that God can work within. This course is for those looking for a deeper level of faith and spirituality by experiencing the spiritual practices that have helped people, throughout the ages, hear the voice of God and obey His promptings. This experiential course will practice and share discipleship by paying attention to the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

The course will be 8 weeks long, Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 am,

October 3- November 21,  led by Marty Norman. Each participant will work at her own pace as she practices new ways of hearing the voice of God. Join us as we sit at the feet of Jesus, like Mary, and share the journey of discipleship with the Risen Christ.

The women will meet at Christ the Redeemer. If you are interested, please let Marty Norman know here.
